About Tokyo Disneyland
Classic Disney magic with Japanese hospitality and seasonal events.

Tokyo Disneyland opened in 1983 and was the first Disney park outside the United States. It’s part of Tokyo Disney Resort, which also includes Tokyo DisneySea, resort hotels and shopping areas.

The park features seven themed lands such as World Bazaar, Adventureland, Fantasyland and Tomorrowland, with attractions ranging from slow family rides to more thrilling coasters.

Expect classic Disney parades, character greetings, fireworks on certain nights, and limited-time decorations and menus for Halloween, Christmas and other seasons. Japanese guests often enjoy matching outfits and Disney-themed fashion, which adds to the atmosphere.

Tickets, passes & visit strategy

Tokyo Disneyland tickets are sold as date-specific passes. You choose your visit date when you buy, and the price can vary depending on whether it’s a weekday, weekend or peak season.

Common ticket types

  • 1-Day Passport: full-day access to Tokyo Disneyland.
  • After-6 / evening tickets: limited evening entry on certain days.
  • Multi-day passes: for visiting both Disneyland and DisneySea on multiple days.

Some promotions and special tickets are Japan-only and may require Japanese-language booking or a Japanese address. Partner platforms usually offer more tourist-friendly options in English.

Planning your day

  • Arrive before park opening to enjoy lower wait times in the first 1–2 hours.
  • Use the official app to monitor wait times and adjust your route.
  • Target the most popular rides early or late in the day when lines are shortest.
  • Check parade and show schedules and plan breaks around those times.

Most regular 1-day tickets are for one park only (either Disneyland or DisneySea). Multi-day passes or special options are needed if you want to visit both parks on your trip.
